Iris Energy Limited (NASDAQ:IREN) announced that president Lindsay Ward will retire, according to a statement. Ward joined the renewable energy Bitcoin mining data center operator in October 2021 to assist with the build-out of its initial growth projects in North America.

Iris Energy Limited (NASDAQ:IREN), a sustainable Bitcoin miner, said it has increased the operating capacity of its Mackenzie, British Columbia facility by more than 30% to 1.5 EH/s. In a monthly update shared with investors, the company said that during December the company transported S19j Pro miners from Texas, US, to Mackenzie for installation.

In its November investor update, Iris said its liquidity as of the month's end was $47 million in cash with no debt, with $100 million unutilized under a B Riley (NASDAQ:RILY) equity facility and potential monetization of assets through miner sales of 2.4 EH/s down to 2 EH/s.

But given the Australian company's savvy use of special-purpose vehicles (SPVs), the bad debt is unlikely to spread to the wider corporate body.
