The fund generally will invest at least 80% of its assets in the component securities of the underlying index and in investments that have economic characteristics that are substantially identical to the component securities of the underlying index. The index is a free float-adjusted market capitalization-weighted index designed to measure the performance of the large-, mid- and small capitalization segments of the Israeli equity market. The fund is non-diversified.

The iShares MSCI Israel ETF tracks a basket of Israeli stocks, which share the feature of being highly dependent on a large U.S. wallet share, and being heavily weighted to tech. Where not weighted to tech, issues around attempts at judicial reform in Israel are a problem for financials, and so is the general issue of deposit beta with hawkish policy.

iShares MSCI Israel ETF - EIS - tracks a cap-weighted index of firms based in Israel, though most of its holdings are US-traded stocks. Israel is the home to some of the most innovative technology companies in the world, as well as many non-US offices of leading US tech firms.
