The index measures the performance of the securities of leading companies in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom (the "U.K."). The fund generally will invest at least 80% of its assets in the component securities of its underlying index and in investments that have economic characteristics that are substantially identical to the component securities of its underlying index.

The ECB continues to fight against inflation and seems unperturbed by the market turmoil of the last few days. Dropping forward guidance, lowering inflation projections, and a growing awareness that the tightening so far can have adverse effects all suggest that today's meeting probably marks the final phase of ECB tightening.

Last week saw the eurozone's headline inflation for February decline to +8.5% YoY although core inflation (excluding food and energy) came in above expectations at +5.6% YoY. Food inflation remains the key driver of headline inflation (+15% YoY), in a large part due to fresh food.
